Tim Yapp

Tim joined MDY Legal from the international law firm CMS Cameron McKenna, and oversees MDY’s development finance practice. Tim has a particular specialist knowledge of the legal and governance structuring of development financing and social impact initiatives. In this role he has acted as lead legal and governance advisor to the funders in the design and establishment of many well-known highly innovative funds including the International Finance Facility for Immunisation and the Advance Market Commitment for pneumococcus, the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), Africa Risk Capacity, Financial Sector Deepening Africa, Trademark East Africa and the Global Innovation Fund. Tim works closely with governments, multilateral organisations, private sector companies and foundations.
